30 Day Challenges

I am a little late to the New Year's Resolutions Party, but seeing as how most people have already dropped theirs by now, I can't imagine that this party is over capacity.  I have been inspired by two things.  The first is a book by Gretchen Rubin called The Happiness Project, the second is this video: http://www.ted.com/talks/matt_cutts_try_something_new_for_30_days.html

There are several themes common to The Happiness Project and Matt Cutts's talk.  The first is the desire to change something in your life.  The desire to change is often synonymous with the desire to be happier, and who doesn't want that.  The other theme common to both is the breaking down of what would normally seem like a massive life change into a manageable chunk.  It is possible to do almost anything for 30 days.  Up to this point in my life I can think of one "30 day challenge" that I have made and completed.  That was to do 30 Bikram yoga classes in 30 days.  If I could do that, why not try committing to any sort of lifestyle change for 30 days?
